Rochdale Cricket Club
Our last ride - Burnley away 35 mile round trip - the hill to weir was in my thoughts - 7.30am town hall - puncture oh heck - messrs Denham and Sigsworth to the rescue. Andy Harrison had already set off walking - David Tully and Ian mush had set off on the run. Matt Denham has set off running.
What a team.
Who would win the race. Walk, run or cycle?
My tyre was fixed and we set off 7.40 - Jack Duffy, Adam Saville, myself, Ian Denham David Sigsworth and Mark Reynolds - another disaster Mark Reynolds chain came off - hero Denham to the rescue.
Healey dell and onto Bacup - hills and more hills. The dreaded weir hill was upon us - this was tough as the rain pelted down.
We reached the summit and enjoyed the downhill into Burnley - we passed Matt Denham on the way who did his half marathon in 2 hours 2 mins - well done matt.
I could see the Burnley fc floodlights in the distance we had arrived - Musgrave and Tully has arrived 9.06am they had smashed it.
We had the regular photo and we were off passing through Townley Park - shame as the retro night had been cancelled.
Passing through Todmorden and Walsden the pubs were preparing to open.
I was tiring and needed the end to get here fast - Saville, Reynolds and Sigsworth popped in the wheatsheaf for a Gil.
I was back at the town hall 12pm.
250 miles later and the challenge was complete. 4K has been raised with the walk to Norden to come on the 11th July 10am.
